Mmmmmm..... Yep, that is exactly what my daughter is saying in this photo!!
Let me be the first to say that I LOVE BACON! Well Skillet Bacon Jam is made with niman ranch bacon with onions, balsamic and other spices . It cooks for several hours until it is a perfect blend of smoky, tangy, savory and slightly sweet. It’s basically spreadable bacony goodness! And it’s USDA approved!
When I received a sample of Skillet Bacon Jam, I immediately thought of several dishes I could add it to. I also browsed the recipes found on the Skillet Street Food website for a little inspiration. I decided to try out the Bacon Jam with a grilled cheese sandwich. Oh WOW! Now that was GOOD!
Skillet Street Food in Seattle was created in 2007 by Chef Josh Henderson. Chef Henderson created innovative lunch menus based on American-inspired food prepared with classic technique and seasonal ingredients out of a vintage Airstream trailer. Chef Henderson still creates great menus served throughout the streets of Seattle from the Airstream, which has also become a thriving catering enterprise that supports weddings, private parties, and corporate events throughout the Pacific Northwest. And that's not all! It is a food products business that distributes its signature Bacon Jam product through retailers across the US and Canada. And in the Spring of 2011, it became a brick-and-mortar restaurant located in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
