It’s Build-A-Bear's 15th Birthday Celebration!

In 2012, Build-A-Bear Workshop will celebrate two major milestones. The first milestone is their 15th birthday! Since the company opened its doors in St. Louis Galleria on October 27, 1997 it has grown to become a global brand while being recognized as a company with heart. The second milestone is the celebration of selling their 100 millionth furry friend!

In honor of their birthday and helping create 100 million best friends, Build-A-Bear Workshop wants to spread the word that Friends Count! Whether your best friend is one of your longtime gal pals, your spouse, your pet, or even your teddy bear, we can all agree that our friends have made our lives so much better.

We have 15 Build-A-Bears in our household. We have Stretch (the Giraffe), Teddy (the bear), Softy (small brown bear), Vegas (the Vegas Build-A-Bear), Tri (the Triceratops), Rex (the Dinosaur), Fluffy (the pink Teddy), Missy (the pink poodle), Kitty (the white kitty), Roar (the Tiger), Quack (the duck), Dude (the biker bear), Rudolph (the reindeer), Sarge (the Military bear) & Snowflake (the winter bear). My children love the adoption papers they are given and saved them all in a photo book with a picture of their bear. My daughter loves to play Tea Party with them. She loves how Fluffy's hands are magnetized, Teddy says I Love You, Vegas sings a song ad Missy barks!!! My sons each have them on the shelf. Depending on their mood is which Build-A-Bear they play with.

Do your child have a Build-A-Bear? I would love to hear your stories about your furry friends! Please share them in the comment section.

  1. My child has multiple medical and developmental issues. She has a Dr. Bear and a Nurse Bear for those times we have to go to the hospital! Thank you Build-A-Bear!
