Kroger2 300x252 Kroger Discontinues Double/Triple off Coupons in Midwest

Yes, it is sad but true.. Kroger is discontinuing double & triple off coupons in the midwest at of 3/1/13. Have you hear about this yet?

There are 118 stores that will be changing and it's still unclear if there will be more to follow. If you hear anything, please let us know.

"Kroger claims that the prices in these areas will drop" if you shop at any of these locations, let us know what you think. Will this change your shopping habits or where you shop?

Thanks Wendy!!

Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company Coupon Policy

Piggly Wiggly Double Coupon Policy

Piggly Wiggly has updated their coupon policy and are now doubling up to 99¢! I know for many of you this will be the only store that doubles that high and I’m sure you will find some good deals.

While I think we should all get excited about stores improving their coupon policies, there are a few things to note about the Pig specifically. This change is ONLY for the Carolina Company which includes South Carolina and Coastal Georgia stores.

CVS Accepts Expired Coupons With Rain Check

I don’t know if you all knew this or not…

I just found out some information about CVS that I know you will want know.  You see, last week I tried to take advantage of one of the extracare bucks deals.  Each time I went, the shelves were empty. I remembered to get the rain checks and after I got home I really wanted to know why they shelves were so bare. I spoke to the manager and she even asked if I got rain checks – I said yes I did but the coupons I had for the sale just expired…and do you know what she said…here’s the good part…CVS takes EXPIRED coupons as long the expiration date is after the date of the rain check.  SCORE! I didn’t know that – she said it is company policy.  Sooo, ladies, if CVS is out of an extracare deal, get that rain check and hold on to those coupons – expired or not! This probably also applies to regular sale items that are out of stock as well.

New Publix Coupon Policy

Yet another coupon policy change …. what do you think is causing all these changes ( first it was Rite Aid now Publix)-

Publix accepts manufacturers’ coupons (limit one per item), Publix coupons (originals only—no copies), valid Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. (Competitor names are posted at each Publix store) We will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only. We will NOT accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons. We will only accept coupons for identical merchandise we sell. Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and we reserve the right to limit quantities. Manager approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.00. For a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale. We will accept a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor coupon on the same item. Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order. The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented.
What are you thoughts?

ATTENTION WALMART SHOPPERS!!

A couple of days ago Walmart announced it would be bringing back a lot of products they previously carried(8500?) They also clarified that you do not need to bring your store ads for pricematching. I would live by better safe than sorry. Here it is:

Wal-Mart announced it is bringing back thousands of products that were dumped from stores, they say they are ready to roll up their sleeves to win the lowest-price battle with their rivals. “We’re bringing back products and brands [our customers] want,” said Mac Naughton.

After alienating customers by culling too many products from shelves, Wal-Mart is bringing the variety back by adding 8,500 items to stores.

From now on, if customers find a lower advertised price, Wal-Mart promises to match that price at the register in all stores without requiring shoppers to bring in a competitor’s ad as proof.

Walmart Coupon Policy

Here's another coupon policy you should print and put in your coupon binder in case you ever encounter a problem (which I do when shopping at Walmart) The cashiers LOVE to make their own rules!

It came from their website here.

Walmart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):
  • Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
  • Free merchandise (or manufacturer’s Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
  • Store coupons
  • Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
  • Internet coupons
  • Soft drink container caps
The following are guidelines and limits:
  • Walmart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
  • Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Walmart will not accept expired coupons.
  • Internet coupons should be legible and say “Manufacturer Coupon.” There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
  • Only one coupon per item is permitted.
  • Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.

*UPDATE* Rite Aid Fixes $5/$25 Coupon Problem!

Here is an e-mail that I received today:

All legitimate $5 off $25 coupons will be honored at Rite Aid up until the expiration date as marked. Due to some internal changes, they may not scan correctly for a few days, but instructions have been given to stores that these legitimate coupons should be accepted. Please note that they are, as always, limited to one coupon per customer, so multiple versions of the same coupon cannot be accepted. Questions and concerns about coupon acceptance at Rite Aid stores should continue to be directed to our customer service team, who can be contacted by visiting our secure chat service accessible at www.riteaid.com or by calling by calling 1-800-RITEAID (1-800-748-3243).

Thank you for your feedback on this and all issues as we aim to provide a shopping environment that is as coupon friendly as possible.
